“We have many clients who report it’s been a life-changing treatment for their rosacea, melasma, acne, or excess pigmentation”.

How does Laser Genesis treat Rosacea?

Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes redness, visible blood vessels and sometimes small, red, pustules to form on the cheeks, nose and chin. These symptoms may flare up for weeks to months at a time and then disappear for a while.

Rosacea is a difficult skin condition to treat and is often treated with long-term anti-biotics.

Because Laser Genesis is a vascular laser, it can help treat the vascular element of rosacea —like irritation, swelling, pain, and sensitivity – by targeting the broken capillaries, diffusing redness and facial flushing. Laser Genesis also destroys the bacteria on the skin surface as well as deep within the skin thus reducing inflammation and further outbreaks.

When can I expect to see results!

Laser Genesis treatments are cumulative, so with every additional treatment you’ll see a further improvement in your skin.

Results are usually evident after 3 treatments, recommended approx. 2-4 weeks apart. We often combine Laser Genesis with our IMAGE Vitamin C Enzyme Peel for further enhanced results.

How does Laser Genesis treat acne?

Acne can be very distressing. It’s one of the most common skin concerns not just for teenagers but can affect adults too.

The main cause of acne is overactive sebaceous glands producing too much oil. This oil when combined with a build-up of dead skin cells causes the pores to become blocked. The bacterium responsible for causing acne multiplies in the blocked pore causing inflamed acne lesions on the skin’s surface.

Laser genesis is effective in treating acne because the heat from the laser penetrates deep into the skins cellular layer where the acne problem arises, destroying bacteria on the skins surface, as well as deep within the skin. This drastically helps diminish active acne and helps prevents further breakouts. The heat also stimulates collagen production, which helps to remodel/heal acne scars and shrink pore size.

When can I expect to see results!

Laser Genesis treatments are cumulative, so with every additional treatment you’ll see a further improvement in your skin. Results are usually evident after 3 treatments. You can expect to see a reduction in inflamed lesions, a decrease in redness, improvement in scarring and a more even skin-tone. Laser Genesis will also close down the tiny veins and capillaries known to cause skin redness, a common acne symptom.

Treatments recommended approx. 2 weeks apart. We often combine Laser Genesis with our IMAGE ACNE PEEL for further enhanced results.

How does laser genesis treat fine lines & wrinkles, acne scaring and large pores?

Laser Genesis is a non-invasive treatment that gently heats the skin well the surface to trigger the skin’s own natural healing response. This ultimately boosts collagen and elastic production plumping & firming the skin reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles , acne scaring and large pores.

For optimal results, a series of Laser Genesis treatments is recommended, since the effects are cumulative.

What happens during a Laser Genesis treatment?

The Laser Genesis procedure starts with a thorough skin cleanse in order to remove make up, clear pores and exfoliate dead surface cells.

You’ll be given protective eyewear before the treatment starts. Then as the laser’s handpiece glides over the skin, you’ll feel a subtle warmth and tingling, like laying in the hot sun. Treatment takes approx 30 mins then a hydrating serum containing hyaluronic acid and vitamin C are applied at the end.

How will I look after my treatment?

Typically, you won’t need any downtime. You can expect a little redness and mild swelling, but this usually only lasts an hour or two so there’s no need to take time off work, and you can resume normal activities thereafter.

If you wear makeup, you can apply it immediately following your treatment.

Advice before and after treatment.

2 weeks before -stop using retinols, self tan & limit sun exposure.

For 2 weeks after – limit sun exposure.

When will you see results?

You’ll see brighter skin immediately, along with reduced facial redness, pores, and fine wrinkles. If you’ve had active acne outbreaks, you should see reduced inflammation, less deep congestion, and a decrease in the number of active cysts.

How many treatment will you need?

For optimal results, a series of Laser Genesis treatments is recommended, since the effects are cumulative.

You can think of a Laser Genesis treatments as personal training for your skin. After four to six sessions (spaced as closely as a week or two apart), you will see a gradual cumulative improvement in the skin.

Results from an initial series of treatments can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months.

We recommend a maintenance treatment every 4-12 weeks to maintain your results.

Think about your lifestyle

Your lifestyle plays an important part in your skin’s health and upkeep. You can extend results from the Laser Genesis treatment by limiting sun exposure and wearing an SPF 50 sunscreen year-round, quitting smoking, exercising regularly, and committing to a medical-grade skin-care particularly one that contains Vitamin C.

Before your treatment commences, a consultation will be required 48 hours prior, where your therapist will assess if treatment is suitable for you & to carry out a patch test of the area.
