Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes redness, visible blood vessels and sometimes small, red pustules to form on the cheeks, nose and chin. These symptoms may flare up for weeks or months at a time and then disappear for a while.
Rosacea is a difficult skin condition to manage and is often treated with long-term anti-biotics. It can be frustrating to live with and hard to conceal during a flare up episode.
Because Laser Genesis is a vascular laser, it can help treat the vascular element of rosacea —including irritation, swelling, pain and sensitivity – by targeting the broken capillaries, therefore diffusing redness and facial flushing. Laser Genesis also destroys the bacteria on the skin surface as well as deep within the skin, thus reducing inflammation and further outbreaks.

Now let’s talk about Laser Genesis for the treatment of acne…
Acne can be very distressing. It’s one of the most common skin concerns and can affect adults as well as teenagers.
The main cause of acne is overactive sebaceous glands producing too much oil. This oil, when combined with a build-up of dead skin cells, causes the pores to become blocked. The bacterium responsible for causing acne multiplies in the blocked pore causing inflamed acne lesions on the skin’s surface.
Laser Genesis is effective when it comes to treating acne because the heat from the laser penetrates deep into the skin’s cellular layers where the problem arises, destroying bacteria on the skin’s surface, as well as deep within the epidermis.
This drastically helps diminish active acne and helps prevents further breakouts. The heat also stimulates collagen production, which works to remodel / heal acne scars and shrink pore size.
We recommend adding an Alumier MD Skin Peel to any Laser Genesis treatment course for acne to further reduce inflammation, oil production and repair and regenerate the skin.
What about the signs of ageing?..
Laser Genesis is a non-invasive treatment that gently heats the skin’s surface to trigger the skin’s own natural healing response. This ultimately boosts collagen production, plumping and firming the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scaring and large pores.

Absolutely! Another thing about Laser Genesis that we love… Results are cumulative so the benefits to the health and appearance of your skin get better and better after each treatment. Initial results are usually visible after 3 treatments, with improvements from that point forward.
Think of it as a ‘Personal Trainer’ for your skin. Results come with consistency and more sessions equal better results. We always recommend an initial intensive treatment plan with 4 – 6 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart. After that, regular maintenance treatments scheduled 4 – 12 weeks apart keep skin looking and feeling its best.
What happens during a Laser Genesis treatment?
The Laser Genesis treatment is a pain free, rejuvenating treatment that can be enjoyed in one of our beautiful treatment rooms. All of our therapists are highly trained and experienced, so you can simply lay back and relax.
The treatment starts with our Signature Double Cleanse in order to remove make up, clear pores and exfoliate dead surface cells.
You’ll be given protective eyewear before the laser is applied. Then as the laser’s handpiece glides over the skin, you’ll feel a subtle warmth and tingling, like laying in the hot sun. Treatment takes approx. 30 mins. Treatment is finished with Brightening Accelerator & a nourishing balm containing vitamin C, Stem cells & hyaluronic acid.
You may experience a little minor redness and / or swelling that will only last for an hour or two. If you would prefer to cover the redness then makeup can be applied directly after your treatment.

With any skincare treatment plan you are investing in the health and appearance of your skin, but it’s vital that you complement your efforts with all the skincare essentials too! So, eat well, stay hydrated, be consistent with your skincare routine using professional products prescribed for your skin type and don’t forget your SPF!

Before and after treatment advice…
There are a few rules that need to be followed before and after your Laser Genesis treatments at Beauty Studio MediSpa.
Pre-Treatment – You will need to attend a consultation 48 hours before your first treatment where a patch test will be carried out and your therapist will check your skin’s suitability for treatment.
1 weeks before – Stop using retinols, self-tan products and limit sun any exposure
1 week after – Limit sun exposure
