ROSACEA: Is a common skin condition that causes redness, visible blood vessels and sometimes small, red, pustules to form on the cheeks, nose and chin. These symptoms may flare up for weeks to months at a time and then disappear for a while.
Rosacea is a difficult skin condition to treat and is often treated with long-term anti-biotics.
Because Laser Genesis is a vascular laser, it can help treat the vascular element of rosacea —like irritation, swelling, pain, and sensitivity – by targeting the broken capillaries, diffusing redness and facial flushing. Laser Genesis also destroys the bacteria on the skin surface as well as deep within the skin thus reducing inflammation and further outbreaks.
ACNE : Can be very distressing. It’s one of the most common skin concerns not just for teenagers but can affect adults too.
The main cause of acne is overactive sebaceous glands producing too much oil. This oil when combined with a build-up of dead skin cells causes the pores to become blocked. The bacterium responsible for causing acne multiplies in the blocked pore causing inflamed acne lesions on the skin’s surface.
Laser Genesis is effective in treating acne because the heat from the laser penetrates deep into the skins cellular layer where the acne problem arises, destroying bacteria on the skins surface, as well as deep within the skin. Laser Genesis is a non-invasive treatment that gently heats the skin well the surface to trigger the skin’s own natural healing response. The treatment is not painful, but the skin may feel warm. Most patients describe the sensation as if they’re lying in the sun and many describe it as relaxing and therapeutic.
Typically, you won’t need any downtime. You can expect a little redness and mild swelling, but this usually only lasts an hour or two so there’s no need to take time off work, and you can resume normal activities thereafter.
